Lean manufacturing is a business performance improvement tool that focuses on cost, enhancing quality, people, and delivery. It help reveal waste and makes continued enhancement possible by identify and eliminate non-value-adding activities in production, design, management and supply chain.

In the world of lean manufacturing, company try to create only what has been demand by the customer, and only when the product is needed. To optimize profit of lean during the supply chain, it is necessary to make a partnership with your supplier. This partnership should work on the basic principle that you attract only what you consume and nothing extra. Your supplier restores what you have used. Electronic Contract Manufacturing

Company that produce, design, test, and assemble electronic components and assembly for original equipment manufacturers are identified as electronic manufacturing services.

The original equipment manufacturers, usually termed as OEMs, maintain the ownership of the said product design and brand names. Electronic Manufacturing services sometimes branch out into  electronic contract manufacturing, and specialize in rapid prototyping and product testing.
